i take it you are not even aware of his contributions are you, he was the one who tuned the instruments becuase everyone else was too lazy, he and Dave would lay down the mixes, because roger is tone deaf . . . sounds pretty important to me

Actually, Nick Mason is a pretty average, very lucky drummer

But he has a quality to his drumming that makes it special, and that's why I dig him so much.
