i think you are rediculous for even mentioning that, apparently you are not familiar with the song Remember a Day, Summer '68 and some more earlier tracks in which he is responsible for, also where do you think the great organ sound on all their albums came from, I will tell you one thing Roger didn't do that

you know what you are really dumb for even saying something like that, please never start a thread again

I apologize to everyone else for that outburst but this person really pissed me off

first of all not all music has to have an issue, second my misinformed friend all of those songs are about Mr. Wrights issues of dealing with his pop stardom at the time mostly the groupies and drugs and what not, it is him dealing with it in his own way. also do you know what your screen name means? if you did then i am not we would be having this discussion . . .

you obviously have no clue what you are talking about, and no idea about what music really is, if music has to have issues then i guess you are saying Jazz is bullshit, opera is bullshit, and a lot of other music, please think before you say something else stupid

what social evils is he speaking against?...wanting to be a little kid again so you can have no responsibility is no deep issue for song lyrics...and whining because you don't like the hookers around you is certainly not important...and these are the songs people always seem to raise as ricks highpoints...laughable at best

i am well aware...and i don't flame syd...because HE was important...

i take it you are not even aware of his contributions are you, he was the one who tuned the instruments becuase everyone else was too lazy, he and Dave would lay down the mixes, because roger is tone deaf . . . sounds pretty important to me

hahaha...what a laugh...rick tuned rogers bass cause he was a little bitch...his contributions were the same kind of contributions any well reasoned session musician could come up with, cause that is all he was...and by the time of animals he was a washed out coke addict

I think you're forgetting just a few things. Here, I'll list them out for you:

Julia Dream
Take Up Thy Stethoscope and Walk
Pigs on the Wing (pts. 1 & 2)

Are those terribly important? Do they have deep issues to convey?

P.S.-Roger would absolutely think your narrowmindedness is rubbish, so cut it out!!

Actually, Nick Mason is a pretty average, very lucky drummer

But he has a quality to his drumming that makes it special, and that's why I dig him so much.
