I've never been to one either, but a few years ago Gilmour came around here, and a few years after that Waters came, I missed them both, hopefully they come again.

The Wall, Earls Court London, 1981. I had no idea about all the in-fighting going on within the band etc, think that really only came out much later, but a fab show, not just for the "effects", which were brilliant (crashing planes, giant puppets, inflatable pigs et al), but musically as well. My lasting impression was of DG atop the wall letting rip with the CN solo. Haven't seen the boys live before or since (except on TV), but it was the best concert I've ever been to - well worth the 400 mile round trip from my Liverpool home.

Unfortunately I have never been to a PF concert. I was wondering if anybody was at the first wall concert where the fire broke out?

Chicago - 1977 (with my buddy Fulghum - 25 years later) Foxboro Stadium (Boston) - 1988 Yankee Stadium - 1994 I was only 14 for the Animals tour, so I didn't really appreciate what was happening. I was into Floyd by then, and I remember thinking how cool it was to see them live. Little did I know what a rare treat that would truly be. AMLOR tour in Foxboro was great because of the enormity of it. "SOYCD" to open the show - I thought I was going to pop a vein when David and Rick laid out the opening instrumental parts. Huge crane parked outside the stadium with a cable running down to the right of the stage (for the bed crashing scene at the end of "On The Run". The pig made it's return during "One of These Days" (awesome slide guitar work). Great Quad sound system - even made "ABitW, pt II" bearable because the kids choir came from around the stadium. "CN" was frickin' unbelievable - David was just standing there digging my brain out through my ears with his pick while the flowering mirror ball was opening up over the stage. (I did truly miss Roger, though). Yankee Stadium for the Pulse tour was also great - mainly because it was a NYC crowd. There's just something about riding a packed subway to Yankee Stadium to see a Floyd show. The floating pig was replaced by two pig props on either side of the stage (like in the video), and the flowering mirror ball was in center field, but the band was great. Good to have Dick Parry back on sax (although I really like Scott Page's style during the previous tour). 'Hey You' was a nice treat, as was 'Astronomy Domine'. I would have been happier with less Division Bell tunes (or at least different ones - I would have loved to see Rick do 'WtIO'), but the second set, with it's nearly complete DSotM, and the songs 'WYWH' and 'Run Like Hell' made it truly worthwhile. (Still missed Roger, though). Last edited by terminalfrost; 09-12-2002 at 07:48 PM.

Well last friday I went to a RUSH concert when the performed here at the SHORELINE AMPETHEATRE, and it was simply amazing. The sound quailty was awesome, and they spent so much money of visual effects which made the concert even more enjoyable. That show could compare with just about any other great concert ever performed, I would pay 5 times more just to go see that concert again! The set list for my concert was SET 1: Tom Sawyer / Distant Early Warning / New World Man / Roll The Bones / Earthshine / Yyz / The Pass / Bravado / The Big Money / The Trees / Vital Signs / Natural Science Intermission SET 2: One Little Victory / Driven / Ceiling Unlimited / Secret Touch / Dreamline / Red Sector A / Leave That Thing Alone > Drum Solo / Resist / 2112! / Limelight / La Villa Strangiato / The Spirit Of Radio ENCORE: By-tor And The Snow Dog > Cyngus X-1 > Working Man My favourites of the Night were THE TREE'S, RED SECTOR A, 2112, and WORKING MAN. But all of the songs were performed flawlessly. If you like Rush, and they are coming around to your area, SEIZE THE OPPORTUNITY!

Hey ODV, you forgot the most important detail! ODV and I went to the concert together, if you look at his address and mine they should match closely, because he lives just 35 minutes from my house, for those who didn't know ODV is my cousin.
