How ca we e-mail or get in touch with to have another PF album released?(got an idea)

Okay, we all know the story about Pink Floyd having to shorten up the album The Wall back in the vinyl days, but now, since CDs have the space....why don't they release the album the way it should have been; like a director's cut? Seriously now, whether David doesn't like unleased work or not, this would probably go up to #1 on the charts, considering that's one of the albums that just "lives on" forever. Wouldn't you love to hear What Shall We Do Now? as never released before? Or how about the other parts to Is There Anybody Out There?...think about it...

If anyboyd has any way of connecting Pink Floyd music industries or something that would do the job, please let us all know. Thanks!

Besides, The Wall was a Roger Waters dominated work so I would the current PF in particualr Dave want to re-release it

I think Is There Anybody Out There - The Wall Live is the perfect and definitive version of The Wall.

Thorin, i don't see why you say no to it going to no1 in the uk. The vast majority of floyd fans would buy it without even thinking and that would certainly put it right up there.

I mean that what you're suggesting is so ridiculous that you've got exactly a cat in Hell's chance of realising your postmodern dream.

I will lay thee down,

Mark

Not exactly so off chance. The Beatles released Anthology didn't they? CDs basically filled with alternate takes and what not; why can't Pink Floyd re-release the album now that it is possible to finish it the way they had intended?

I think that it might be viewed as A Bad Move, seeing as how all these misguided people quite dig (though God knows why. Actually, it's because they're misguided. Of course!) the album in it's original form. Just be happy with ITAOT, and give your fantasy brain a break. Besides, the thing's bad enough already without MORE of the same, hence the 'if The Wall was only 10 songs...' thread. That's wishful thinking at it's finest, but at least is A Good Idea.

As ideas go, yours should be filed alongside 'Greedo firing first'.

M'kay?
