Dogs is one of Floyd's best songs......

I just noticed that Pigs on the Wing (pt 1) in the lyrics database is missing a line or two....anybody else catch that?

Animals is one of the few albums that I always listen to from start to finish and relish every note.

Dogs has it all -- good lyrics, great guitar work, keyboards and vocals, genius special effects. I love how the mournful "....dragged down by the Stone" morphs into the barking dog.

dogs is my all time favorite song. i was very glad roger included it in his last tour. i never understood why dave never included any animals songs in their post-waters tours... did he ever explained it?

Dogs is my new favorite song, and Animals is my new favorite album. It's brilliant, beginning to end.

Dogs IS one of Floyd's best songs, along with Pigs which is also from Animals. Animals is a truley great album, musically and lyrically. Especially musically. I think it to be underrated, but you are right - Dogs is one of Floyd's best. But I would consider it more vintage than Waters domination era.

Perhaps it is underrated since it's not 'light and fluffy'.. Some people don't want their music to actually have a message. But then again I don't see those type of people being Floyd fans.
Having said that, Animals is up there as one of my favorites. I gotta admit however, that I prefer Sheep over Dogs. Hell, I even love Pigs on the Wing (1&2)

I agree lost soul, all the songs on Animals are great, which is why it's my favorite Floyd album. Although I wouldn't consider any of Floyd's stuff 'light and fluffy' liek you put it, I think all of Floyds works have meaning. But as far as favorite tracks on animals go, I'm going with Pigs (Three Different Ones) and Dogs.
