Why the heck Densmore should not be with 'em I'm wondering... Anyway, no one would include Ian Paice in that poll?

Speaking about the "reuniting" (ahem) Doors, why is Copeland joining them? Isn't the Doors drummer (sorry can't remember his name) still alive?

okay my badness, i skrewed the pouch on this one, if there is anyway to add some of those people go ahead, is Earl Palmer the same Earl Palmer who played with Marvin Gaye (or is at least a black dude) cause i think i saw him this summer, or at least saw a tribute video of him, if someone can post a link to his picture that would give me a better idea, if it is who i think it is then yes the man is an amazing drummer.

Anyway, Ian would be perfect to fill in for Jim Morrison. Best Brit skin-pounder? I voted for that zany SOB Mooney. |

Definitely Moon, my guess is that those who voted for Mason just don't know who the rest are.

The reason John Densmore is not playing with The Doors is because he has tinnitus, which is a ringing in his ears, so playing the drums in a rock band probably wouldn't help that condition. The Doors are planning to tour early next year and he hopes to be able to play. Stewart Copeland is just filling in for him. The Doors did play a show in LA on Sept. 6, and are playing in Toronto later this month. Ray, Robby, and John are also working on a new Doors album as well. This is my first post to the message board and I wanted to make is informative I would have to say that the best Brittish drummer is John Bonham with Moon a close second.

I love Keith Moon. Then again, I dig Ginger Baker. And I agree with Yannis about Roger Taylor, fabulous musician from a great band. as it were, anyone familiar with the Woodstock movie or the concert itself for that matter? I really dig the drummer with Santana, though I've never known his name.

Yeah, that drummer from Santana is awesome. He goes OFF during his solo in the Woodstock film. Did I ever mention that I dig drum solos?

i too enjoy that solo. in fact i also enjoy drum solos as long as they don't go on too long. you can only do it for so long before it gets boring. imo.

Oh my God. I am so sorry. Was voting and forgot in the former reply that it had to be a Brittish drummer. Stupid, stupid, stupid!
