I choose None of the above......I don't know how many in here listen to Tool (Judging by the frequent use of the phrase "oh dear" I doubt many) but Danny Carey is the most proficent drummer I think I've ever heard......the man carries beats and riffs wayyyy better than anyone on that list.....even if you're not a Tool fan you can't seriously believe anyone on that list ie. John Bonham comes close no matter what band they were in......but once again THATS JUST MY OPINION (but it's probably right)

I have to disagree with you Piggy about Danny Carey, but I do agree that the list is not fair. They miss a few drummers.

Although I am Deadhead, and like Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart, I belief in the true superiority of John Bonham. Led Zeppelin would not have been half the band without him, Plant & Page said it themselves. Although Keith Moon was great also.

Any one ever heard of Pick Withers? He was one great drummer IMHO. John Densmore was decent but I don't think he count because he would be American(?)...

I've heard about him, but only as a member of Dire Straits. Did he do any more drumming after or before? From this poll, I choose Mitch Mitchell. He's THE MAN.

hmm think stuart copeland is faar superior to any of these wafer offerings...yeah yeah i can hear u binning me "he's not british". i know that, but the other two are, and it was stu's idea, and somehow in my tiny mind it all seems....well , y'know..british, the sound i mean..and come to think of it so does the whole image, besides ive been a rhythmatist for nearly twenty years, so iknow what a drum is.

He's not on the list, but I'd pick Oscar Harrison from a group called Ocean Colour Scene. I saw them live last week, and I thought he was amazing.
