No, they'll give you $600 for it!

And then I'll cry!

And you wouldn't want that, right?

Pawn, PAWN, Pawn, 600$ sounds ALLRIGHT! But if your dad gave you that guitar he would kill you if you pawned it, KILL YOU!

For God's sake, don't pawn it. Sell it on ebay or something if you don't want it.
Just because a guitar has a couple of scratches doesn't mean it's a peice of crap.

ODV2 & li'ljohnsteinbeck cousins?

Here is a little ebay link to gove you an idea of what that guitar is worth man.

http://search.ebay.com/search/search...Gibson+ES-335+

If that is a 60s model and its in that great of shape (yes, even with belt buckle scratches ) you could be looking at much more than $2,000 for that guitar.

That is stunning and I have to tell you, I think your playing stupid in this thread.

Jason

Like I said before, I don't know about Guitars, but those guitars on EBAY don't look anything like ODV's, I think that you guys have it wrong.

Red face

First of all...who even said it was mine..it's my dad's (but of course it will eventually become mine )
Second of all....I would NEVER pawn anything my dad gave me, because I respect my parents ...anyway, it could become the guitar that I learn to play on!

Anyway Odie, it's a nice guitar and would be a great one to learn on....so as for selling it, as Tony would say, "FugGADDabouddat!!
It would be very cheezy to sell a family heirloom.

ODV,

Not many kids get to learn how to play guitar on a Gibson hollow body.

That is a beautiful guitar, to true Gibson fans the scratches make it look better. That should never leave your possesion man, thats beuitful and thats the type of axe that will motivate you to come back for more.

Congrats!
