What does everyone think about The "new" Doors?

For those of you that haven't heard, the three remaining members of The Doors are getting back together to record an album and go on tour. John Densmore(drummer) is having health problems, so Stewart Copeland from The Police is filling in. Singing for The Doors is Ian Astbury from The Cult. I was wondering what people's opinions are on this. I am a HUGE Doors fan, yet I'm not really sure if I am happy. On one hand, I would pay any price to go see The Doors today, yet without Jim Morrison one piece of the puzzle is missing. The strength of The Doors was always Jim feeding off the other 3 and vice versa. I'm not a Cult fan, and I think Ian did a bad job on the songs he did with The Doors last year for the VH1 special, but apparently he did a pretty good job with The Doors in LA a few weeks ago, and I would be willing to hear how he sounds before I passed judgment. So needless to say, I see a good and a bad side to this, I wondered how everyone felt.

I like louvre style, although I wouldn't describe that as particularly 'new'. That green frosted glass effect is nice. From Habitat or Ikea.

Cheers,

Mark

Hmmm...I prefer the sliding variety, personally, but try and find the sliding gears, why don't you.

I'm with Barrett Fan on the New Doors, though I must admit having heard none of the new stuff.

I'm all for it. If you go to the official Doors website, you can see photos of their recent performance. They had Indians out on the stage, and they will not perform The End. They have Jim in mind, and they truly love and miss him. Of course they won't have the same magic as they did with Jim. Ray and Robbie being there is awesome though. I am anxious to hear the new album to.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

1972. The Doors, without Jim Morrison, released an album. Shit.

Birdie, Birdie in the sky
Drop a bit of white wash in my eye
Me no care
Me no cry
Me just glad that cows don't fly.
