it's difficult to explain to outsiders. it was purely a sign on comradery, I swear. Well, except one chap I had doubts about...

...as it were, I dig chicks. Sometimes, I wish I didn't - meaning that sometimes I dig chicks that I really shouldn't, and even in that I dig them way too much. so, yeah.

No Gilmour-style stuff, sorry. The album is good but there's Jeff Beck on guitar. I like his parts on ATD but he's definitely NOT Dave. And the whole album cannot be "like the other Floyd albums" because it has NOT Wright-style keyboards and so on. Don't get me wrong though, it IS a good album (and I cannot say the same for Pros & Cons and RK), just don't expect what you cannot find or you are going to be disappointed.

This thread kinda encouraged me to start my pink floyd solos collection so I went out yesterday and bought Amused To Death and About Face. Not Floyd but both are good and there are certain floydisms in there.

What do you think of About Face? I reckon it's cack compared to his first solo effort! ATD is pretty good tho, much better than RK and much much better than Pros & Cons.

I think its pretty good, obviously not in the class of a floyd record and as for being worse than the first solo effort I haven't heard that yet so I can't comment. It has a couple of bits which sound similar to AMLoR

I can't understand why nobody likes Pros & Cons... well, maybe I can, but why the hell would anybody prefer KAOS to it? I mean, seriously. Why???

ok well i havn't heard any jeff beck stuff before , but i guess i'll give this cd a try. but it is like the same lyrical stuff right? is it like the wall? like that or animals or dsotm? if it can be discribed , please , DO TELL !
