Pink Floyd - Smashing Pumpkins

*Opinions about Billy Corgan from Smashing Pumpkins introducing Pink FLoyd on the ceremony of the Rock Hall of Fame, exactly when PF, became part of the hall...

Thanks a lot!

No- I'm sorry- I didn't mean it to sound like a put down or criticism. I was merely suggesting, albeit in a vague, unfocused manner, that you use the search feature to look for it.

Sorry to have given that impression and welcome!

Abierto.... Cerado!,

maybe its just me but its seems that a band would be introduced exactly when they become part of the hall. i may be misunderstanding what is being said here.

Thorin, if you remove the word "exactly", I think it makes sense.

I don't have any opinion on this at all, does it matter who introduced them? Or am I missing the point of the question?
Billy Corgan might be a baldy gimp but I quite like Smashing Pumpkins, not that that's relevant but there you go.

Here's my opinion

Billy Corgan has a detestable singing voice. That's all.

I like somethings he's done acoustically, but otherwise, could not care less.

Jeje I thought you would say something about the voice!! Ok, thanks.... im just like beggining posting... and so i got nothing else to ask yesterday... but also been a SPumpkins fan and Pfloyd i just wanted to know what you guys thought of Billy Corgan being like the one who introduced them.... when someone else could have done that, maybe someone with more musical importance......

anyway i was glad to see my both favorite bands (or part of them) together

fixxlevy, im sorry if i sounded rude or anything, it didnt bother me

The Smashing Pumpkins are an extrodinary band with many Floydian influences. I didnt think billy's speech was the greatest but hes a very good songwriter and musician.

Smashing pumpkins are a band that will soon be forgotten. However, there are many obvious comparisons if one ever felt like listening to them. For instance, the line in the Final Cut, bang bang, lie down, your dead, is copied word for word in a Pumpkins song on Siamese Dream.
