I'm just interested in realistic visions of life and society, in both music and cinema. More a work of art is gloomy and dark more it's describing faithfully reality out there; and more it communicates to me.

Animals, realistic? think about this. All of humanity is either a dog, pig, or sheep. Everything stated about them is negative. Nothing at all positive. Therefore, animals is pessimistic.

So, the sheep rise up in the end, and kill the dogs.

Have you heard the news? The dogs are dead!
You better stay home and do as you're told,
get out of the road if you want to grow old.


And in the end, sheep will be sheep. Happy ending? Not really. That is, unless you consider being a sheep a good thing.

Man, what the heck is your point here? Seems your saying Animals is not realistic because it has no happy ending... but of course you didn't mean that, unless your six years old or younger...

I think Animals is unrealistic because it oversimplifies to an extreme. It does not at all recognise the variations in human nature; one can only be one of the three negative extremes.

It would be quite difficult to describe all human categories in a musical album, in a matter of speaking everyone is a particular variation of human being, but masses keep behaving like dogs, pigs or sheep (that's why world sucks), even if there are some notable exceptions.
