Its quite sad really that we are trying to get to the top of this list although my music tastes have varied a helluva lot in the last 6 or 7 years, consequently I have a lot of albums of bad taste

Chris Morris of Brasseye/Day Today fame actually got the lead singer to admit that he regarded himself as a genius and as such, probably had a couple of extra genes more than your average human. Usually, if you have an extra gene, it is my understanding that you are more likely than not to be suffering from Down's syndrome.

How brilliant is that?

How can you be so critical about Babylon Zoo? I love the album and I'm not afraid to admit it. The album is great and well worth listening to IMO.

I've just gone and made a prat of myself haven't I? Still, what do I care?

Re: Time to come clean folks .. what CD...

Yep... had plenty of bad ones but luckly I started out by flicking stuff from my Brother's collection! So all the bad stuff I had, I was stuck with untill I came ot the US. I ahd the good fortune of unloading that stuff onto a chick who was desperate for some BackStreet Boys and some Spice Girls (I'm ashamed of myself). I also unloaded some old Pop stuff like Michael Jackson. In return I got myself two albums of The Doors (Morrison Hotel and LA Woman), one album of Pink Floyd (Meddle - I can't believe she chucked out Meddle!!) and two albums of The Scorpions (Face The Heat and Pure Instinct). I also stole a tape of Gary Moore (Ballads and Blues).

One the whole, I think It's a pretty good deal no?

Happy

You did very well, Simon. I'd like to get a copy of that Gary Moore one myself.

I also admit that I have been known to listen to Babylon Zoo on occasions, hence buying the album. Although i also admit that a lot of it is trash, in particular Caffeine.

I have 'Back to the Blues' and 'Out In The Fields: The Best Of'
The older stuff is really good but the newere stuff I am not so bothered about. Btw The Wild One by Thin Lizzy is a quality album that I would heartily recommend

Re: Time to come clean folks .. what CD...

Somehow that always seems to be the case no? The new stuff never seems to make up or live upto the old stuff. I wonder if this is why they say "old is gold" ?? 'course I'm just some dumb grunt..

Say, what about Western Classical (My stuff being Wagner and Bach)

...or even guys like Jeff Beck, Bob Marley, Stan Getz (Jazz Samba is awesome), Miles Davis. Man this could go on forever. I just dug up some of that stuff (I really mean dug up.. it was under a huge pile of things I never even knew existed!) Litening to "Who Else!" by Jeff Beck right now...
