Yeah but Obscured By Clouds is vastly superior to MORE. As is Saucerful.

I'd like to recommend Atom Heart Mother, and A Saucerful of Secrets.

This thread is really all a matter of opinion. If I were you, i'd use a file sharing client such as kazaa to download one or two songs from each album to see what you like. I do this to see if albums are worth buying -- saves alot of headache, and money.

No it doesn't, since you'll end up owning them all anyway.

Re: Owning exactly zero early Floyd CDs...

Well that is true for PF CD's, but for other CD's I sometimes preview them on KaZZa, because if I'm exprimenting with an artist for the first time, I may hate the artist and get ripped off..

Re: Owning exactly zero early Floyd CDs...

I'll say this. I don't regret buying ANY Floyd-related CD, even the ones I hate.

Strange you should say that, had my car broken into (and why they couldn't just steal the heap of crap is beyond me), and had my Federation CDS stolen (Brit funk band). What really pisses me off is CDs like Flower to the Sun are unreplaceable....

Botley good call dude

ODV2 be careful of that kazza place, they don't check for virus...

Re: Owning exactly zero early Floyd CDs...

I've gotten infected with virused from kazza about 10 times now, and I never learn, I always have to end up re-installing windows.

I think I'll go download some songs now

Re: Owning exactly zero early Floyd CDs...

Not sure if l have mentioned this here, but check out audioglaxay if they are still running, good selection of mp3s and virus free... they use satellite hubs (or some l33t term), even got some of my rigs mp3 collection available

Re: Owning exactly zero early Floyd CDs...

If you're really unsure about early Floyd, pick up "Relics" - its got most of their early hits, plus a few rare tracks.
