| Re: Owning exactly zero early Floyd CDs... If "early" includes Meddle, then get Meddle. Otherwise, they're all good, keep Ummagumma for your last Floydian purchase and follow your instinct, use the Force...

| Re: Owning exactly zero early Floyd CDs... You absolutely have to get "Piper at the Gates of Dawn." If you have enough money left over, throw in "Saucerful of Secrets." "Ummagumma" is a Pink Floyd transition album, but you will not have enough funds leftover to pick up a copy - it is a double cd set. If I were you, I would stick to chronological order to hear how Pink Floyd evolved over the years. ![]()

| Re: Owning exactly zero early Floyd CDs... Well, honestly I think you should purchase UMMAGUMMA, but this is just my opinion, most would disagree, but I think UMMAGUMMA is one of the best PF CD's out there, it's simply amazing! I highly reccomend it, it's preety easy to get used to IMO.

| Re: Owning exactly zero early Floyd CDs... Ummagumma's a good album, but I wouldn't really think of it along the same lines as the earlier ones. It's a transition album. Thing is, you can't really go wrong if you're getting a PF album But if you want a recommendation: Piper. Personal favourite Last edited by pork_chops : 10-03-2002 at 06:18 PM. |

| Re: Owning exactly zero early Floyd CDs... Having recently lost my CDs, the first ones that I replaced were OBC and More because I bought both of them off of ebay for 3 bucks. I would really consider getting one of these two. Highly underrated, but good quality that I didn't really notice until now.

| Re: Owning exactly zero early Floyd CDs... I would forget about Atom. And Piper, while good, may not be what you expect either.

Yes, More is the soundtrack of a mediocre movie on hippies, or something like that. If you liked Meddle I think AHM shouldn't disappoint you
