Bootleg sounds so common and nasty whereas RoIO is much more genteel and refined.
Rather like myself.

"Bootleg" is the word I learned to use eons ago, in the pre-internet age, when I bought my first CD with obscure Floyd live material, that's why I keep using it.

IMO the Pompeii performance is the definitive version.

I like the Ummagumma version the best. Even though I haven't bothered to listen to it in a while - crappy vinyl copy.

If you ever get the chance to get a copy of the M-502 RoIO, please do so. It's the greatest version of CWTA,E I have ever heard. And that is my favorite songs of all times, so I've heard quite some good versions of it.

My favorite is the one on UMMAGUMMA, I consider everything on that album to be absolutly flawless.

The version on Ummagumma has the best "scream" than most of the other versions.

I agree, even though it is fun to see Roger flipping out in the Pompeii version.

Thumbs up Re: Best version of Careful with that axe Eugene

Definitly, Ummaguma version is the best for CWTAE, and the album itself is a big step in the starway to the great albums from PF, like DSOTM, WYWH and ...
I really like the studio and live, los dos son grandes trabajos
