There is no way that they could all sit down again and make a great album. Everyone would be expecting the greatest Floyd album of all time...but they just don't have it in them anymore. Anytime a band tries to do this they are going to fal flat.

I'm just pissed that I was born too late. Being born the year The Wall came out just wasn't fair.
Being born 8 years after the wall came out sucks too~~!

Do you two wear really baggy pants covered in pockets and useless straps, ride skateboards and say "Word up, Dude" to each other a lot?
I bet you do.

Lets not go through this again...
....But no, skateboards are a waste of time, I can go faster walking, and I would never be caught dead saying "Dude" I usually wear jeans with two pockets....

Re: Pigs Might Fly Before Pink Floyd Reunites

I don't wear baggy jeans at all, in fact I wear kahkis, and polo shirts ...and I've never used the word 'dude' unless I was making fun of someone. ...My pants usually only have 2 pockets..
...But of course I'm not like other kids, DR.Cheese, you had an almost perfect description of everyother kid in California (except me )

...Oh and I haven't really ever been interested in Skateboards./

Re: Pigs Might Fly Before Pink Floyd Reunites

i agree with you terminalfrost, gilmour is my favorite guitar player of all time. Even though he's not as fast and technical as others, Knowone does or ever will sound like him, he's got a style that cant be copied.
If anything, i think they should do one last and final tour someday, a farewell tour, w/t or without waters. It would be nice to have him, but would be kinda weird seeing him up there playing songs like "sorrow", and "learning to fly". It would definetly be different. But i just hope ill get the chance to see them live once, before i die. Whenther or not it'll happen is a different story

Re: Pigs Might Fly Before Pink Floyd Reunites

The 'Floyd to return ? Who knows, and what would we be in for anyway ? Another thematic piece of work, followed like a Pulse-like laser circus bathed in digital ambience, that lumbers across the globe for eighteen months like a great side of ham (with testicles !), satisfying the nostalgic whims of 'heads' of all ages ? Christ, I hope not.

Bands produce vital music for a million reasons, but some of the 'universals' are a desire to 'be together', 'do it together' and 'be hungry for it together'. In all likelyhood, the hunger has now been satisfied and all ambitions have been realised, however, the audience waits as usual. I just hope they, whoever 'they' are, don't blow it, should they decide to 'do it together' again.

Thought: perhaps 'doing it together' means them not actually doing anything. That would be something and that would also be fine ... I think it's earned a rest.

Re: Pigs Might Fly Before Pink Floyd Reunites

This is my first post here, so I won't get too far in depth, but if they all get back together it will be great. If they do solo albums, or even retire, more power to them. They have given us some of the greatest music created, without a doubt. Someone asked me at work the other day, is peace in Pink Floyd, or peace in the Middle East more likely, I said the middle east.

I'm sure many people will agree with me, I'll support the band in whatever it is the do.
