Someone asked me at work the other day, is peace in Pink Floyd, or peace in the Middle East more likely, I said the middle east.

I'm sure many people will agree with me, I'll support the band in whatever it is the do.

yea, i totally agree with you - but it would be nice to see them come back for one last run...

Unhappy Reuniting?

If they did. I would pay anything for a ticket. I am one hardcore Floydian. I just bought a Fender Strat 2 months ago and I can play like 10 Floyd songs now. I didnt know shit about playin a guitar. Latest songs i learned was Pigs on the Wing part 1 and Time. Only took me 2 days to get them down.

I must be terribly selfish

I have listened to this band all my life and have been impacted by their genious greatly . And i realize how selfish i am to think of the band as selfish for chasing after personal projects instead of doing what all four were born to do . there is allways hope but it grows dimmer every year . All we need to do is keep talking

They will return, together again, Reunion tour. It is in their blood and they will not be able to help themselves Money talks......
and i shall be there at every venue they play to watch listen and feel every minute. Sod solo albums, I want the complete package not the arty farty acoustic sets so popular with solo band members these days. If i am to be considered selfish for wanting to see the greatest musicians soongwriters performers in the universe then so be it. i want to see them perform together again, the demand is there the money is there the time is right Come on messrs Gilmour/Water/Wright/Mason get your thing together.....

The motive won't be for finanicial reasons. They don't need the money - they're stinking rich. If that was true, then it wouldn't have been 9 years since their last tour (in which they made over 100 million dollars gross).

As pessimestic as I am, Floyd always for years would tell the press that it may be their last album, their last gig, but who knows? They said this in 1987 when a momentary lapse of reason came out. Pink Floyd is that spirit within them, and it will definately last forever. I think you will see a few more concerts out of them...no question.

As for Waters joining, I would have said no way even up till a year ago, but the fact that Waters and Mason are friends now and Mason even doing the 2 gigs last summer.....that says a lot. Then I read that Gilmour would love to become friends again with Waters..... who knows. But the chance is there and its much greater now than ever before.

My $.02

Sean

I don't wish them reforming, no matter how much I love the band.
Roger is doing fine on his own, as I had the chance to see last year in his Barcelona gig. I still remember it as it would have been yesterday. The threesome did well with The Division Bell and there's no reason for more albums, besides the stinking money, that none of them need by the way.

I mean, what a new tour would be like and how much tickets would cost? A fortune, I guess, unlike Roger's concert, whose price was a reasonable 28 Euros, showing he is not in it for the money. How many of his peers (Jagger, Townshend, etc..) can make the same claim? They are charging people 100 dollars for a ticket, for god's sake!!

Amused to Death is very stunning and much better than the two Rogerless albums the others have put out- no doubt about it. I look forward to Roger's new cd.
