Unhappy Oops apologies to the seppo members

It's just been pointed out to me at a rugby site (the game they play in heaven btw) that "bugger" has a different meaning up north and could possibly be considered non PC (Political Correct apparently, yeap gave him a serve for that one).

So to explain usage and abusage downunder

Bugger = damn or some such as in

"Bruce l just put your ute in the river and the donk's rooted"

"Bugger me that's fair dinkum stoopid Simmo"

Thank you for your time, please continue posting the "have a good one" and "do you want fries with that" and for NNJ "whatever" replies.

Re: Oops apologies to the seppo members

Bunch of australian slang terms up there, I know only seppo, that means american.
'Fair dinkum' should be something like 'for sure' and simmo must be a generic name for a seppo, like thommo (Simpson and Thompson, you know...)
Not sure tho

Bloody colloquialisms, I'll have to start throwing in some Scouse slang to confuse Jethro!

Re: Oops apologies to the seppo members

Thanks for the translation.

Rugby is the game of the Devil btw (sweaty men rolling around in the dirt feeling each other up - no thanks), in Heaven they play only Football (and possibly shove ha'penny).

Sorry Jethro me old mate but you're talking Australian Bollocks again!

And rugby is a bit rubbish, any neanderthal with half a brain and a build like a Jurrasic rhino can play it, football takes skill my friend, that is why it is the most popular game in the world.
