Can you please give me an analysis of every lyric to every song that's been written over the past 5 years or so? You can't just say there's no good lyrics you have to explain why!!

songs like Mm Bop by hansen come to mind, really a song about nothing. Any song by Brittney Spears and Christina Auguilera which basically comes down to being slutty and getting knocked up. ect, ect. . .

altough, toushe Noise

I too don't see what the problem is with The Division Bell is. In my opinion it is one of the best Floyd albums with or without Waters. I know that Dave had to go through a bunch of different writers to get most of the songs...or his wife Polly helped. But there isn't a bad song on the album...it has a classic Pink Floyd sound. It's no DSOTM but it sounds so beautiful. It is soo good because Dave, Nick and Rick were all together for it. It doesn't have a Gilmour solo album feel to it like Momentary Lapse Of Reason did. (Not that MLOR wasn't good)

Gilmour played on the first post Hodgson Supertramp album "Brother Where You Bound". Davies kept auditioning guitarists for the sessions and kept searching for one with Gilmour-ish qualities and finally realised: Why don't I just ask David Gilmour?

A lot of KIDS who discovered PF in the post Waters years and heard those albums first, often don't see much distinction between the eras. It's mainly old guys like us that heard the "classic" stuff first that think that the post Waters stuff suffers more than it actually does.
Just try to imagine starting with ...Lapse... or TDB and working your way back.

Although I must say that I REALLY don't like "Coming Back To Life" or "Keep Talking".
My first favorite was "Poles Apart".

I love Supertramp, too. They are to me a little bit the "light version" of PF.
A little more down-to-earth, maybe. Anyway, "Brother Where You Bound" is Rick Davies' masterpiece. An incredible song, one of the greatest songs I ever heard. Any Floyd fan should check it out! Just to say something about Supertramp...

I love that album.
Thats the way I get it.

Alot of floyd sights and very pro Roger/Anti-Dave.

They favour lyrics over music, TDB isn't great lyrically and no-one can match Waters lyrical genius. But for me Gilmours music pisses all over Rogers so I can still enjoy the post Waters Floyd
