It

I know I know, it's an old movie but a very very good one!!!!

I just finished watching Stephen King's IT!!!!
I've seen it many many times and I have it on tape, but the tapes been destroyed.
So as we were walking in the mall yesterday I went to a CD/DVD shop, just to look around and what did I ran into???? The IT dvd!!!
Ofcourse I couldn't resist and brought it home with me and had to see it again...ofcourse!!!

Is there anybody out there who also likes his movies and books????
I'm a big fan of his work, and right now I'm trying to get all the SK movies that are available on DVD.

Re: It

I thought the book was pretty good but the film was a pile of crap. As is usually the case with Stephen King (with a couple of exceptions).

Re: It

Well, I guess we have a different taste in movies than!!!
I think they are pretty cool. One is better than the other, but they are certainly not a pile of crap. I even think that in some cases the movie is better than the book!!!

And now I'm wondering what kind of movies you like Dr Cheese???

Re: It

I think the book is awesome but I agree with Dr Cheese, the movie was just horrible.

Re: It

My 2 cents: The book is decent (King did better tho), the movie, for what I recall, is average at best.

Re: It

I prefer at least Christine, Shining, The Stand (weak ending actually, but good enough), Night Shift, The Long Walk, and probably something else I don't remember right now.
"It" just didn't grasp my attention much, it was entertaining but not breathtaking.

Some of my favourite movies are:

Godfather 1 & 2
Apocalypse Now
2001
Blues Brothers

There's loads more but I really can't be arsed to list them, there's another thread here somewhere about movies anyway.

Re: It

I never liked the end of It (book or movie). Okay, a clown with balloons in the sewer is creepy, yes. A giant spider is not. And a giant celestial turtle is just sort of dumb. Can't Steve-o King just stick to scary stuff without trying to make it the history of the cosmos?

Re: It

his endings tend to suck from time to time. storm of the century was good because it had joe from wings in it.
