Counnty Down

a floydian friend just sent me an mp3 he got from winmx "pink floyd County Down - Roger Waters awesome demo", and after searching i cant find any info about this track, is it mislabled?, is it not rog? the song is 6 min 44sec long, noteable lryic is "im dying here" which is repeated numerous times, track starts and finishes with sound of rain and cars passing by, pretty nice guitar throughout, mellow music if not the lryics. the track does live upto its billing as awesome, ive had it on loop play for the last half hour. so finally i get to the point, is this track actually by waters or just a brilliant soundylike? if it is has it been released on an album? as i need this in my cd collection!

It's definitely not Roger's voice. And I couldn't find any reference to it when I searched the lyrics on Google. Not a bad song, though... probably just some kid trying to pass off his band as Pink Floyd

I agree with Botley that it doesn't sound like Rodge, but it's pretty damn good.

Has anyone been able to track down who recorded this, or even if it's called County Down? (I searched on Google and there's a Van Morrison song called County Down, but the lyrics are completely different, so it's not a cover of that). Other than that there seems to be little or no record of this song existing.

If anyone hasn't heard it, I would recommend it highly.

Well when I heard Rog had a new song, I though... "gotta check it out!" then when i read the description of the song I realized what it was...


County Down is a song I wrote and recorded a couple of years ago. I'm a songwriter who does a lot of home demos and recording... this one actually was done in a proper studio. Obviously somebody downloaded this song from my website and then relabelled it as Roger Waters. A huge compliment to me, I am a big fan and he's been a great influence, but... there ya go

3 months ago i made my own *roger waters best of* on 2 cd. few days before i had downloaded *county down* on kazaa and it was credited as roger waters. after a few listening i really started to like this song. i was sure it was roger, i didn't even bother to verify if it was really him. i thought it was cool that i had a new song for my double cd project. but this morning, as i was listening that *best of*, i looked evrywhere on line to have details on the song. nothing. until i found it here. i almost felt off my chair! i mean, now i feel stupid a bit. gary caven, all i have to say to you is... BRAVO, what a great song it is. did you know when you made it that it sounded like roger? anyway, my decision is, i will leave my *best of* as it is. *county down* is in between of *each small candles* and *go fishing*...
