Original Vinyls.

Does anyone here know where I could buy some original Pink Floyd releases on vinyl? I have the Wall and Dark Side of the Moon on record, but everything is else is on CD. I would really like to own some of the original records so if anyone could help me I'd be very grateful!

I've bought a fair whack of stuff off of all of these and had zero problems frankly.

Re: Original Vinyls.

I just bought the original Dark Side of the Moon 1973 vinyl extremely cheap, it was worth it! And I also bought the Run Like Hell 7" vinyl. Oh yeah and I'm about to buy the Learning To Fly 7" vinyl as well. Why the hell did people go and create the cd, vinyl is so much better, they look so cool! Stupid cd's....

That's a good point!

Vinyl still sounds awesome though and is extremely collectable.

CD is a mass produced lightswitch for the masses.

Re: Original Vinyls.

I have loads of original Floyd vinyl.

You can check them out by clicking the link in my profile where the home page link is.

One of them "Eclipsed" is one of only 100 in existence. That and M-502 are my most prized.

I have the DSoM intact (posters and stickers) and picked it up for $20.00 CDN at a flea market. It's in mint condition too. T'was a happy boy that day.

being from england I thought you'd find 'em easy but if you look at the markets you'll find heaps. I come from half way around the world from u and I have found heaps of Vinyls at markets and general second hand stores, pawn brokers, music traders (eg Record market ) that's a place where they sell and buy old and new records, tapes and CD's also tryout friends and family I pick up so many PF albums on Vinyl that I sell them to people at a slightly inflated price (finders fee) I like to call it !! it's out there you just have to peel your eyes and keep an AYE out matey !! ARRRRRR!!!!

typing is fun !!

Also Cheese, have you had much luck playing 12" vinyl in your car. The suspension in my Durango is pretty good but the records still jumps when I cross railroad tracks. I considered putting a tone arm on the rear fender of the car and placing the LP on the wheel, but then I can only drive 8.63 MPH so the tire is turning 33 1/3 RPM.

I have found it easier to hire the band and have them play in the back seat actually.
