Echoes - Part II

just thought of an idea to make a sequal to echoes. it could never match floyd but heres the first verse i wrote:

As I wait for sun to rise
sitting here with windows wide
praying here yet no light will show through
The echo of a distant time
was never heard throughout the land
as it disappears beneath the sand
No one showed us where to go
and no one forced us to move back
no one told us we should try
no one said reach for the sky
