If there was a Reunion Gig....

Suppose our prayers were answered and Roger, Dave, Rick, and Nick reunited for just ONE last show together........What songs would you want them to play and in what order.....here's how I'd love for the very last Pink Floyd show to happen:

- Shine on You crazy Diamond pt.1-9 (opener)
- Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun
- Fearless
- Fat Old Sun
- In the Flesh?
- Happiest Days of Our Lives/ Another Brick in the Wall pt.2
- Mother
- Sheep
- Welcome to the Machine
- Speak to Me/ Breathe
- Time
- Pigs on the Wing pt.1/Dogs
- Careful with the Axe, Eugene
- Hey You
- One of These Days
- Us and Them
- Any Color You Like/Brain Damage/Eclipse
(for the Encore)
- Wish You Were Here
- Comfortably Numb
- Echoes (the last song they ever play together)

What'd you guys think?

Bravo.

I've always been tickled at the thought of hearing/seeing the band perform Echoes now (as opposed to the early 70's). I'm terribly curious as to what kind of changes or additions we'd see.

Although, I'd also really like to see the whole band performing Shine On completely, and the parts split into 2 halves just as they are on the album; instead of the drastically shortened versions we've heard on Delicate Sound of Thunder or p.u.l.s.e.

It's always been my personal opinion that Shine On was their crowning achievement in musical and lyrical excellence.

But that's just me.

On another note, perhaps there should be at least one song from Momentary Lapse or Division Bell (High Hopes, for example).

Like 'Highlander', "there can be only one."

Well i tried not to include any songs off MLoR, DB, or TFC cus those weren't albums done with the whole groups participation, they were either Roger controlled or Dave controlled and both have discussed how they disliked eachothers albums so I figured there would be too much hostility building up if they had to play songs off of any of those albums.....I obviously left stuff off of PatGoD cus they'll be no Syd.

With extended versions it would be more than 3 hour of best music ever, Dave's solo in CN would be something like 20 minutes. The show would of course take place in Egypt at the pydamids, with lasers and flying pigs. Syd would make a guest appearance in Astronomy Domine and after the show Roger would apologize for making The Final Cut. Everything would be just perfect.

That would be great! Especially the Syd bit. Hang on, I'll add on something, he makes a public apology as well as roger for disapearing for 30 years and performs the whole Piper and says a new Floyd album is coming out with all five of them taking part. That would make me cry. It would be so emotional.

But a setlist for me would be:

Speak To Me
Breathe
Fat Old Sun
Fearless
Time
The Gunners Dream
The Happiest Days Of Our Lives /ABITW Part 2
Mother
Goodbye Blue Sky
Empty Spaces/Young Lust
In The Flesh? (It's got a brilliant ending to end a first half)

INTERMISSION

(Suddenly everything goes black and they mic his footsteps up to the front of the stage - Suddenly the opening riff of Interstellar Overdrive is being played but the lights are still of. Then suddenly, a burst of colour is projected on to the stage and the lights go up. Obviously, most people faint but the lucky ones get to see Syd play the whole Piper and they get on with the show with Syd playing rhythm guitar and Dave on lead. So...

Interstellar Overdrive
The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn
Wish You Were Here
Run Like Hell
Shine On You Crazy Diamond 6-9

They all bow and saw a new:

Barrett
Gilmour
Waters
Mason
Wright

album is coming out and a video of how they made it (how they knock on Syd's doorstep, like they never did one day in 1968, and say, were making a new album, wanna help? He agrees and gets in a limosine back to London with them.

They could have a 1-week concert (a few hours a day) That would take a lot of preperation though :o

I always thought that if they were going to play everything, that they would play two albums a night, with an intermission in between.

... yeah, right.
