| Division Bell comments/things/stuff ? I don't know how specialized this post is, in fact it's rather vague. My friend/neighbor is a sort of Floyd fan, so after I told him I procured all the albums, he recommended The Division Bell, specifically the last track (high hopes). So I gots to listenin' to it, and it really is quite the album. Top on my list of not so popular floyd albums, popular being The Wall, Wish You Were Here, Dark Side of The Moon, etc. However, after listening to most of the tracks, and taking a peek at the lyrics (i felt bad) i came to the [profound] conclusion that none of the tracks actually GO anywhere. Basically, there just a string of randomly inserted, cool quotes that don't REALLy make sense in the context of the entire song. "Steps taken forward but sleepwalking back again." "The ringing of the division bell had begun." For the sake of all goodness, I'm not going to post a song (as this post is getting quite long- i don't believe in abbreviating). But if anyone really wants to comment on this or share opinions, go ahead. I really like the Division Bell musically, not quite lyrically tho. -Steve Vote for _______ <--- insert important person here |

| Re: Division Bell comments/things/stuff ? It's more to do with the fact that Dave isn't a great lyricist and has his journalist bird, Polly Sampson, as a co-lyricist. Neither of these people come close to the towering doublespeak of Son of Eric, frankly. Is why.

Ahem, dear Fixxy... can you guess what's wrong with this statement? How many times do I gotta tell all of ya?? but I won't right now, I've got a DVD to view... (Please take this in the spirit in which it is offered, which may vary according to whatever mood I am in at any given moment...) Cheers! GeeDub#1 (that little blur in the front row next to M.
