Re: Gilmour the Floyd Bassist???

Okay I don't mean to be so hard on Dave, but people tend to forget that without Roger Pink Floyd as we have known it would have never existed, but without Dave it might have sounded a bit different (maybe a bit worse, maybe a lot worse) but it would still have happened most likely.

mmmh... I doubt it. IMO both parts (and Rick Wright) are equally important.

It would have happened, no doubt, and it certainly would have sounded different. After Barrett's unravelling, Roger & Co. would have found a guitarist somewere. That could have gone in any direction....

My guess is without Dave, PF probably would have died out long ago for lack of fan interest or internal squabbling or both, just like the many other forgotten rock bands in history.

Obviously, no one knows...but I suppose this pointless "Dave or Rog" arguement will go on forever.

If that had happened I would probably been the richest man in Norway, the White House would've been moved to the moon, Ivory Coast would've won the World Cup in football, Microsoft DOS still would've been more popular than Windows, and Roger Keith Barrett would've as a 60 years old begun to use "Syd" again...

Re: Gilmour the Floyd Bassist???

Both of them suck. Roger should go back to study architecture, while David has to go back to the delivery truck driver job he had when he was young, because he is to old to be a model again.
