Post Which is the best early PF album?

I don't know if a poll like this has been on the forum recently, but I thought it might be a good comparison.

As everyone knows, Syd only cut one album with Pink Floyd (strictly speaking), but how does it compare to the Floyd's early offerings?

I've included three of their early albums for comparison. I would include Meddle but it would probably win by a mile.

Personally I think The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn is easily the best but there must be some PF fans who aren't that keen on Syd.

don't worry too much about the dreaded duplicate thread (DDT), but the search thingy does help, if you want to start a thread, i guess. and don't let these dudes get down on you about it, either. peace.

Oi, I don't think this is a DDT. Pointless, but not a DDT.

perhaps i was thinking of the best early single thread. Anyway, the DDT advice was just in general.

Re: Which is the best early PF album?

Come on, I just think a comparison of the Syd PF with the few albums after he made would be good to see what some of the people here make of Syd in comparison to some of the early PF albums.

A very good thread and a very good poll in my estimation. Personally, while my name indicates that I am a Waters fan, I love Syd. He is awesome. And I have really yet to encounter any early Floyd that could touch Piper At The Gates Of Dawn.
