San Tropez....the special edition.

ok here's the scoop. im sitting in Wendy's resturant a few nights ago, and on their radio is one of those elevator jazz stations with what seems like no commericials what so ever. anyway, on comes a song, and that song is San Tropez from the 'Meddle' album. but it wasnt Pink Floyd. the vocals were removed and replaced by piano. and it was a full jazz band sound, still mellow, and still very much like the original version. has anyone heard of this? i really want a copy and i have had NO luck finding it. look around and let me know what you come up with. thank you and good luck! you'll need it.

A fully instrumental version of San Tropez? That sounds pretty cool, I'll have to look around for it.

A satelite music service used by many retailers called Muzak occaisionally plays San Tropez on there "Foreground Music One" (FM1) channel. They also offer a channel where they play instrumental only versions of the songs played on FM1. I don't know if you can be these songs, though. It may be a special license Muzak has.

Re: San Tropez....the special edition.

No problem. I handle the Muzak account at work (I work at a supermarket). I guess that expertise paid off. Muzak does have a website, I think it's http://www.muzak.com. I would check there for their contact information. Perhaps there is a way to get the song through them. Now I think I will check Lifemask's suggested site.

!!!

i searched that site and came up with no Floyd. but i did see one program station that plays instrumental versions of Grateful Dead, Led Zepplin, The Who, and bands like that, so my guess is that the Floyd are on there too. so close to finding it....darn.
