Just babbling...

Here we have what i seem to see as a kind of 'supernova': hundreds of new posts every day but at least 95% of them is in the form of a telegraphic piece of babble (guess in which forum) or just smileys (and I often took part in it, I'm not accusing or criticizing anyone).
So, I was just wondering if the new phase in which our forum is entered in the last months is reversible or is just a normal stadium before the eventual natural death.

i posted somewhere else that i thought we should stop posting new threads all together - because in all likelihood, it is more probable that someone will get their feelings hurt than it is that their idea hasn't been covered elsewhere. We have talked about everything under the sun it appears, though the art of useless and meaningless posts has been around since before I came, at least. if we want to go on a crusade for new evolution breakthroughs in mind, body, and spirit, we most certainly could, but keep in mind that all things must come to an end sometime. if not in our lifetime, in the next or so on and so forth.

I do believe that there are still several 'serious' discussions bouncing around the forum. There are interesting new threads started all the time. And if there are folks who enjoy 'the art of useless and meaningless posts,' well more power to them. That's what the 'Just Babbling' section is for. The site exists for the purpose of information and entertainment in the form of an online community-- there is a wealth of information avaliable on the site and I never cease to be entertained by fixx or Byron or Pearly or any of the others. And remember what the wise man said-- 'There's nothing to keep you from telling the truth while laughing.'

yeah, i will admit, some stuff has been pretty funny on here, but there is a lot of garbage. and i'm just saying, if i were a new person, i would find it probably a huge pain the bum to have search through the forums and what not to make sure my question hadn't been covered already. once again, there is a *lot* of garabage..then again, I suppose it is my choice if I want to read it or not.

Every once in awhile there is something about Floyd posted, but rarely. Once in a 1000 posts maybe.

You'll notice that each thread has a cleverly-designated 'heading' that explains, in general terms, the topic of the aforementioned thread.
