Exactly FW! that is what I would do - talk discuss etc.. Celebrity IS bollocks! That is not why I posted this thread. I feel that as fans of the music and lyrics we would all rise above that and address our feelings regarding issues raised by those that have affected us so....

I think it would be very cool. One great thing about the Floyd is, they don't have these crazy stage personae, which lends itself towards their not having some "star" image.

Precisely why I think it would be so great to meet them. They would probably not discuss their 'Star Quality' The fact that their music speaks volumes would be enough to engage a meaningful conversation...

We seem to think alike--that's the same way I think. They don't seem to be full of themselves (except Mr. Waters, sorry), and it's my guess that would make them approachable. Of course, if they didn't want to talk, I would respect that. One thing that annoys me so much is when the media (and other disrespectful people) can't seem to take a hint, and figure out that a "celebrity" can have a bad day or want privacy like anyone else, AND that they ought to respect that. After all, it's not like they OWE us anything.

Indeed we do think alike, I completely agree with you - the music has (and always will) be more important than the image, status, surrounding them. They have never been about "pulling chicks" "partying" and living the obvious "rock star" life. The thing that has always endeared me to them particularly, is the fact that they have carried on with their ideas (be it solo or as a band) despite the (contrary) myriad trends and genres over the years. They believe in what they do and the media be damned!!!! That alone would make them interesting dinner guests!!!!!
