I like playing Young Lust (there's one lick in the guitar solo I only get right about once out of every twenty times I play it...but when I do get it right, it's such a buzz,) Time, Have A Cigar...sometimes when I'm with a group of people and an acoustic pops up, I'll play WYWH...rythym AND lead. Obviously you can't play both completely at the same time, but it's still pretty impressive to the layperson when you pull it off.

WYWH, SOYCD, Time, Money, CN, ABITW (P2), GBS, DLMN, ITAOT, RLH, LTF, WDYWFM, HH, etc.... A lot of Gilmours parts are very hard to play (especially the intro to WYWH). It's not that he's a virtuoso, it's just that you can play the notes he plays but you can't sound like him. Brilliant!

When I'm playing guitar at parties, "Wish You Were Here" is probably the first Pink Floyd song to get requested. It's a crowd pleaser, as everyone tries to sing along.

I like to play "Comfortably Numb", also, but do it a bit different than the record. As a solo acoustic guitarist, it is more entertaining (for me) to drop the key down a whole step, and speed up the tempo.

does anyone manage to play the dogs rythm guitar and sing along with it ?
i simply can't - i'm not a singer but i always try to sing along with difficult guitar rhytms
i believe roger is able to do it because if i remember right he always played the rhytm guitar on dogs during the in the flesh-tour

Yes Alf, It can be done... It's quite a tricky rhythm anyway, but you need to to master it first then (and only then) try adding the vocals. Its all about rubbing your head and patting your tummy at the same time - COORIDINATION!!

Keep workin' on it-you'll get it!!

Cheers,

Jeff

It was just feedback while he had his wah plugged in backwards.

I like Is There Anybody Out There?. It's not too hard to play and a nice tune.

He probably was. I'm pretty sure he's played with both Gilmour and Rog.

I like playing Wish You Were Here and Coming Back to life (especially the intro, but the two other solos as well). SOYCD from time to time as well. I mostly play my own blues imitations, which are needless to say, lousy.
