I thought he would have like 4 bass drums or something. Not just a whole bunch of cymbals and sleigh bells and stuff.

I don't know anything about drums so I can't really tell.
Of course it's quality not quantity that counts.

Of course. I've heard people do better stuff on a 4-piece drum set than an 8 or 9 piece.
