Just thought I'd use this thread as an outlet to bitch... I did start it.

Today's topic: my illustrious Hammond M3 electric organ.

While playing the thing today, I switched on the percussion (to try and practice Rick Wright's organ solo in the live version of 'Fat Old Sun', of course), and the goddamn percussion didn't decay - it's one continuous tone. I go online, and see what I should do - and the only solution I find is to clean the switch with switch cleaner.

I do so - opening the percussion switches' metal container box was like prying a clamshell apart; I lost a small (but important) screw in the process - and assemble the whole thing back together.

It did jack.

So now, I either get someone to repair it (and spend a proverbial shitload of money), or get rid of this blonde-wood beast and buy (+ haul... fun) a new one into my room. I'm at a crossroads.

I'm sure the lot of you don't care. Thanks for reading, if so.

that sucks ass balls. that's right, i said ass balls.

along similar lines, i tried out a used mexi strat i wanted to buy and the volume knobs were all shoddy and cut out if you moved them below 10. makes me appreciate me guitar even more. dunno how i ended up with that gem amidst all the crap guitars at that pawn shop. why do brand new guitars have to be so flogging expensive?
