Maybe you could beat the pawnbroker down on the price by telling him what a piece of crap it is, then buy it cheap and go clean the pots.

i could do that. but, i don't think the guy would go for it. anyway, i found practically the same guitar for even cheaper at another pawn shop across town. haven't tested it, but it may be an option. who knows, i may not even be buying.
