Does anyone know where I can find this Beatles song(Bootlegged)??

Hey all, I'm looking for the FULL version of Helter Skelter. The version featured on The Beatles isn't the full song, it was chopped down from a 27 minute long take, and I'd really love to hear this. If anybody has hold of it, or knows a bootleg that features it, please speak up! I really want this song.

you do realize Charles Manson said this was the version that drove him to kill. Amongst other things, I suppose.

Just be forwarned, I guess.

Anyhow, sorry, I have no information about any bootlegs, i'm just not that advanced in this field. At all, really.

Love Always,

I left a link to this place on another thread, but check over at www.voxtalks.com and ask that very question. You're sure to get a quick response. Cheers!

The 27-minute version, to my knowledge, has never been bootlegged.

The album version and the 27-minute version are from two different sessions - the album take isn't edited at all. The versions from the first session are tightly played and rather bluesy; the version from the second session are hard, loud, and very rock 'n' roll (the version we all know and love).

Instead, at the first session for this track, they taped three takes - 5 mins., 10 mins. (I think), and the 27-minute one.

The 5 min. one (slightly edited) has been released on Anthology 3. The other two are not available, I don't think.

There you go,

-Shane

Yes it is, I know for a fact it is because it fades out and fades back in. Lord knows we don't actually do that in a studio. It has to be edited from one of the 3 takes of this song. Oh, by the way, just for no purpose...I think you're wrong on the times, I think one takes was 10 minutes, the other 12 1/2, and the last being 27. Thanks for the help....but....I'm dying to hear all of these takes!!

Just do a search in the EMI archive you don't have access to.
