Identity of the three Pigs?

Now I'm confused. Why does Rog have to change the identity of the three pigs? They could have different identities now and the above interpretaton redundant.

are you sure that Roger changed the identity of the third pig ("hey you Whitehouse"), since this is clearly a reference to Mary Whitehouse (a pompous British morality campaigner). I can well believe that he has now changed the second pig to become Maggie, although Dave as the first pig I find harder to accept.

Also I am not so interested in who Roger thinks the three pigs are today, because this is a reflection of the person he is now, I am far more interested to know the identities of the three pigs when the song was written.

Evidently no one quite agrees about who the second pig is supposed to be so leave that open to interpretation.
