La Vallee (Obscured by Clouds)

I recently ordered this movie, and today it came in. For those who are not familiar with it, Pink Floyd did the score to the movie with their album "Obscured By Clouds." Im halfway into it right now, and its officially one of the stranger movies I've ever seen. Has anyone else had the pleasure of seeing it? What did you think about it? And wouldnt you like to live in a world in which every scene of your life had a Pink Floyd song playing in the background? hehehehe. i would.

I was thinking about seeing it. If it's strange in a good way, it would definately be worth it. Is it out on DVD?

I've heard it's a load of old pony, as is More, but as I've never seen either movie I can't really say. Give us your opinion when you've seen it Seamus.

The movie is out on DVD, at least in some countries in Europe, that is. I've never seen it, nor More, and quite frankly I'm not even much interested at the moment.

i can now see why its called a 'cult classic.' it has to do with drug usage, summer of love hints, and discovering the meaning of one's inner self...or something like that. i'd advise anyone who wants it, to go ahead and buy it. im sure you'll be glad its in your collection, even if you only watch it once. it seems more like an amazon history channel documentary...i dont know. i enjoyed it though, very B movie and lacking in storyline. you sorta have to pay attention to whats going on to keep up. but the ending.....is KILLER!!! if anyone has seen it, dont reply to that, just let others watch it to see what im talking about.

i give it 2 out of 5 points for the movie part.
i give it 4 out of 5 points for the music part.

the songs are NOT THE SAME as what's on the album "O.B.C."
they are slightly modified and if you listen close and are as familiar with the cd as i am, you'll see what i mean. the vocals on 'burning bridges' are sorta funny. oh well, i still recommend buying it. just to have. and maybe you'll like it. i did for the most part.

oh and make sure the kids are in bed before watching, there are a few things they wouldnt want to see (n u d i t y) heheheheh.

That chick really likes feathers doesn't she. She'll do anything to get the ultimate feather, and some self discovery and enlightenment along the way.

I liked it more than Zabriske Point but less than More. (moviewise)

Self-discovery in the nudge-nudge-wink-wink-say-no-more-sense, I'm assuming?

For some reason, I have an image of her trading...erm... that for feathers.

Nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more! (as per the Monty Python sketch)
