I agree with those who said Freddie M. (he could sing opera so...)
and Ian Gillan is great, as well as Gilmour, Clapton, & young Elton.

I'd also say Freddie Mercury. But the first one from AC/DC, who died. The one who sung in Highway To Hell. How was he called?

Mike Patton (possibly the most versatile singer I've ever heard), Jack White, David Gilmour, Elvis Presley, John Lennon.... multitude of others I can't think of right now.

Chris Cornell ain't bad at all. (He's the lead singer for Soundgarden, Neshabur.)
