| Interesting theory there flip. I think Jim did exactly what he wanted to...turned out the lights...Doors were on a break when he was heading off to France right? So the music was over? Strange.....he actually embraced death. |

| http://www.thedoors.com/bmr/ They have released 9 titles so far. Dont get : "Live in Hollywood - Highlights from the Aquarius Theatre Performances" or "Bright Midnight - Live In America" because they are compilations of the other releases, but if you are a collecting nut then you must have them. | The three J's : John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix and of course... James Douglas Morrison. A little bit of a downer was SRV... Geroge Harrison didn't surprise me at all though.... and Elvis, well... what can I say, 'cept "Well, he's dead man!" Could this thread also extend to : Any future ones here? |

| The 3 J's huh? Usually are credited to be Hendrix, Joplin and Morrison (cos they died in a short period of time), but I see Beatles must be everywhere or someone could be offended. |

| Janis, Jimi, and Jim...the 3 J's alright. And weren't they all 27 years of age when they died? Eerie. I understand where you're coming from B.L. As what you stated were my exact hopes for this thread...Thank You. |

| Hmm, I think I respect the men who made Elvis famous from behind the scenes, more than I respect Elvis. I am a casual fan, but I put him in the same category as The Beatles-- Undeserved Untouchable. Personally I think the Pet Shop Boys did a bang-up job covering him with "Always on My Mind". By the way, the only celebrities I ever actually felt sad over losing was Chris Farley and Phil Hartman. |

I know you never said anything defamatory about the artists I listed I just said that that's what the number one comment means to me, the dude that in the first place is saying that anything i listen is jsut not good enough is insulting my taste in music and what it stands for, and if there's anyone on this forum that says "whatever rocks your boat" in other words if you like it good for you if you don't hey still good for you, it's me. I don't like the guy and that was what i was trying to say. I realsied that my comment was harsh so i apologised I don't see why you had to go drag it out. Hicks' anti beatles post didn't insult me cos he doesn't like em and that's fine, it doesn't rock his boat. He never said that everything I listen to is second best. He just said I don't like em, comprende? cheers Last edited by Sydney; 12-16-2002 at 09:21 PM. |
