How do we get fewer people scared by death so that it's no longer too many?

hmmm... Youngsteinbeck8, maybe that is how you feel about death, but I would be willing to bet that most of the people here don't share your sentiments (or anti-sentiments, rather). Personally, I have never gone to a "funny" funeral. Maybe you have, but I haven't, and found your post offensive. But, what was even more offensive is how you tried to defence your statement, rather than simply making an apology, as you should have. You need to learn to know when to cut your losses...no one's falling for your bluff.

We're still on this topic? I left for 3 hours, I was putting up stupid christmas ornaments. That wasn't to you Shane, and it wasn't supposed to be offensive, an inside joke if you read something on another thread.

It's a sad day indeed, I still love The Clash, I saw them a couple of times and when they were in their prime they were one of the best live bands I've seen. 50 yrs old!

Hey, YSB I learnt not to make bad comments about dead musicians around here the hard way, and I apologised for my comments and made up with a user who turned out to be a really nice person despite our argument. Now I'm willing to bet money that in real life you're actauly a decent person, you just don't know when to stop so I suggest you apolgie for your comments and move on cheers And on the subject of the clash, a very very sad day.

Respect ...My respect for Sydney just reached a new high. YSB (on the other hand) is too young and stubborn to make amends (which would have been so very easy to do) for a crude joke (that wasn't funny) about people who cannot even defend themselves, which shows a dis-respect for these artists who happen to be my musical heros, and it is like beating a dead horse to make him see that. The world has bigger problems, sure, so I'm not going to waste any more time being bitter about his rudeness, or mule-like tendencies (why encourage the boy, eh?). It's just not worth the aggravation. Thanks anyway, Sidney... Rock the Casbah...

YS8 really finds it odd that he should have to 'apologize' for simply sharing his opinion. He thinks that if people don't like it, they should take thier own advice, and not say anything at all.

i said an insensitive thing earlier about a sensitive subject matter. I just didn't see Stein's fault. That is to say, no one else was in the wrong either. I'm fond of you all. so, in that, let's all bury a hatchet (in a smilie's head).
