Speaking of which, I have to get my Lamb Lies Down on Broadway back from my guitar teacher. I do have his North Mississippi All-Stars cd...but, I'd rather have the other one back. Course, he's probably in a foreign country by now. He has a habit of doing that. Fleeing the country when I need him most. Damn bearded hippie. But, seriously, I love him.

Gotta check it out, but you know I'm a poor student.

Peter Gabriel as The Lamia. The weirdest dress used in rock music ever.

I don't think I could agree more!!

After being introduced to Lamb I've managed to get my hands on everything they released with Gabriel.

They are just so great! I gave Lamb my vote, though Selling England is a very solid second. Actually, I love all of their Lamb and before albums a lot. I've sampled some post-Gabriel Genesis...well, let's just say "barf." What a shame...

Oh, and I've been working on gathering as much of Gabriel's work as I can...excellent stuff! Got "Up" a few months ago...just blew my mind. He still has it.

Ok, enough of my endless babbling.

Hey since we're on the topic of Genesis...would anyone care to discuss TLLDOBW's storyline? Personally, all I've been able to figure out are some vague details: the main character is Rael, he commits some acts of arson in New York (Back In NYC), tries, but fails, to impress a girl (Counting Out Time)...and then I'm lost on the rest of the first disc. But then on the second I believe he somehow gets admitted to an institute...later on sees "John" in a river, jumps in to save him, but then finds out that John isn't real...then I don't get "It," or those other gaps. Hmm....

This page will tell you more about Lamb then you wanted to know: http://www.rawbw.com/~marka/music/lamb.html

It's the famous, "Annotated Lamb Lies Down on Broadway" good reading for die-hard Genesis fans.

Not only does it explain the story of Lamb Lies Down, but it also tells you a lot about the band at the time. You'll find about the plans to make Lamb a movie in here too, and why it didn't happen.
