Nirvana

What's your opinion about Nirvana and Kurt Cobain? Do you think they can be considered as an important and influential band in Rock history?
Please reply only if you've listened to more than just Nevermind.

I agree they are influential...but I can't say i'm a huge fan...just not my cup of tea really...

I do like Nirvana. I think their music is influential to rock history, perhaps in the way their popularity struck a chord, and opened the doors to more bands with a similar sound and appeal...and their uniqueness, and style. Once again, I don't think the fact that any musician who drank, drugged, etc...themselves to death, is any laughing matter.

I will admit to a distaste of Nirvana back in their heyday. I laughed at a girl who was crying over Cobain's death. Since then, I have come to appreciate them a bit more and find the music they made was actually good at times.

I dig them quite a bit. They were the first band I really got into.

I like a few songs too, but I still think that's what they will be remembered for.

Talking

i think that Nirvana is a very important group. a great contribution to rock music. Kurt Cobain was a genius. he died too young, but there's also something good about hiS early death - he became IMMORTAL .

Kurt Cobain wasn't a genius. Just a guy who took drugs and made good music and eventually killed himself.
