Does anyone else see the humor in posting this in this already messed up thread?

Re: Some Guy's DSOTM Review.

It really is more sad to me than funny. It denotes an individual
who is operating on a level of consciousness that just barely
reaches his A**hole...Todays music is a joke. There will be no
more Pink Floyd's,there will be no more Grateful Dead's.Those
two bands alone knew how to extricate consciousness from
the physical construct and launch it(and us)into the Godhead
where we belong. My point?Anybody running their mouth about
either of those bands needs to have a vile of liquid poured down
their throat and be forced to listen to DSOTM or a Dead show...
We will see what their opinion is after their pathetic version of
physical reality is ripped to shreds and they're left mumbling and
staring into the mirror that is God...Oneness people...those two
bands changed my life and now I sit silent and realized, staring
into the vast, starlit gardens of eternity.Thank you Floyd, thank
you very much!!

Re: Some Guy's DSOTM Review.

See, you proved my point. You all came down on this guy, for "not listening" to the album in question and not being open-minded enough to like it. Then you all go on a rampage about "today's music".

So the guy doesn't know shit about shit, but I am thinking that few here do either.

HAHA AMEN!!! P I N K F L O Y D music made me open minded to other music, like Folk, Prog-Rock, Jazz, Blues, & even funk! That is what Pink Floyd has had explored. Many genres, & because of that, I enjoy other music more better & appriciate it more. Today's music is not that great. It is not as creative as it used to be, it's just "Running Over The Same Old Ground."

Re: Some Guy's DSOTM Review.

Close-minded people are all assholes. They all deserve to die. That's the reason that I don't like any of their music and believe that it is entirely shit and refuse to listen to it. Damn I hate close-minded people.

What Music scene?

What have you've been listening to John?Ive been waiting for the
younger generation to show their stuff...And it just aint happenin'.
There is no scene other than the same tortured youth bulls**t
the music business keeps pimping out.I swear to christ there are
about fifty bands out right now that when I listen to them I can't
tell the f*****g difference. Is nobody really listening John....Or is
there really just nothing to hear right now.If you can't see the lack
of creativity and spirit in the new generation of bands than maybe
it's you who isn't listening.

Re: Some Guy's DSOTM Review.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: If you don't think there's anything good coming out today, you aren't looking. Ahem--

Sigur Rós
Sparklehorse
Radiohead
The White Stripes
Modest Mouse
The Eels
Godspeed You Black Emperor!
Mogwai
Muse
The Shins
Neutral Milk Hotel
Songs: Ohia
Philip Glass
The Kronos Quartet
Aphex Twin
Múm
Aimee Mann
Air

And on and on. If you find no creativity or spirit or difference in the above acts, then you're either deaf or you can't hear.

Re: Some Guy's DSOTM Review.

What are you on about?

And hey its your taste, but don't derail "new music" as a whole, at least name particular bands, so we know who you are talking about.
