Question Some Guy's DSOTM Review.

Quote:
STOP!!!!! Stop it right now. I'm sick of hearing "Pink Floyd rules" . There is nothing sophisticated, or even original with this album. It is only Creed wrapped up and packaged in another, yet equally stupid, vain. Once again, do not get this masterpiece because Rolling Stone said it was so great. Forget Rolling Stone and forget Pink Floyd.

Ahahahahahahaahhahaha... ha.

Re: Some Guy's DSOTM Review.

Threre is a lot of those, one person said about Animals, "This album is so stupid, I mean you have to be really dumb to make a song that is over 6 minutes,"
Where did you get that, Amazon?

Sometimes it's disturbing to know that the 'reviewer' has never heard the album in question.

Exclamation Well...

... obviously he has heard it, as he's come to the same conclusion that anybody who knows anything has: Pink Floyd is just a thinly disguised ripoff of Creed.

I fell asleep listening to this album. It drones on forever and ever. It wasn't going to stop. All the songs would have been good if they didn't go for 15 minutes each. "Wish You Were Here" was the best on the album though. Great cover. Well known cover. Just not top quality music.

On Wish You Were Here. Bastards, making each song 15 minutes. Bastards.

Re: Some Guy's DSOTM Review.

Well, actually DSOTM is not so original or sophisticated (PF themselves did at least 3 more groundbreaking albums), and actually one should not buy or respect it just cos Rolling Stone says it's good. I mean, according to Rolling Stones are good Backstreet Boys, Shakira, C.Aguilera and Ricky Martin too

Well, it happens, still. This reviewer is entitled, because he's heard the record. But, I know of a good deal of people who criticize albums without even hearing them. It's a bad practice.

And I also have to agree with Organ Grinder on his point. Opinions are... opinions. Everyone has 'em.

I seriously doubt that Mick Jagger or any member of The Rolling Stones enjoys those singers.

Well, if you added a 's' just to seize the opportunity to talk about those old farts you really need to disintoxicate.
