Victor Wooten by far is the hands down winner in my book. He is an amazing player, if you have never heard him play you should really check him out. My bassist friend turned my on to him and the first time a heard him play i just hit the floor. hes just one awesome bassist.

Thanks for my laugh of the day.

Speaking as a bassist, Flea is far from amazing. His finger technique is sloppy, and his slap technique is nothing special.

Victor Wooten is by far the best. I'd like to see Flea play Classical Thump.

Who the hell voted for Roger Waters?

I'm sure no one will be shocked to hear I voted for Geddy. as he has done to bass playing in Hard Rock bands as what Eddie Van Halen did for the electric guitar.....no one has been more influential.

And besides that, he's simply the best Listen to YYZ sometime

I agree YYZ has excellent bass, but you yourself take a listen to The Fish, Chris Squire!

I've been playing since Sep. 11th , 2001, and I can play YYZ. Not that hard. Victor Wooten owns Geddy, seriously.

I'm not too fond of Van Halen either.

Well, you have a gift Shine On, because Bass Players I've spoken with, including one in a cover band, says that's a toughie....

And I'm not too fond of Van halen either, but I was just talking about the most influence in rock....Eddie for the Electric and Geddy for the Bass...

And it is. But I can work my way through it.

Are you sure about Eddie for most influential guitarist? There's always Slash, Angus Young, Jimmy Page, and good old Mr. Gilmour.
