I already mentioned John Deacon. He was good.

and the Audioslave single is only mediocre. Is it just me, or did Chris Cornell's voice get progressively worse?

John Deacon doesn't play much bass these days but he IS still good I think and yes, he did come up with damn catchy riffs and he is also a good songwriter (as everybody in Queen).

Another one bites the dust.

This looks like a nice thread to revive. No one really mentions the bassist a lot. I think Entwistle is the greatest bass player to ever walk the earth. Just listen to a solo in 5:15 and you'll see why they called him "Thunderfingers!"

I almost picked Chris Squire, but I haven't heard a whole lot of his work yet, so I just stayed safe and went for The Ox.

i don't understand why people insist on putting members of Pink Floyd in the 'best' musicians polls...I mean, just cos we're on the site and all, doesn't make them any better than they are.

but him being "not that bad" doesn't necessarily mean he should be on a best bassist poll, does it?
