Where's the overly sentimental bit? Also, if you'd any noggin at all you'd realize this is far from a 'first attempt,' although I can understand where you'd get that idea given that I started this thread several pages ago with several poems.

So then this is the way the world ends, Mr Eliot, and the ABCs & killerbees all make the same soup in the end, with the bangbangbang of desperation mounting upon your vinyl collection, your Italian white striped sofa, your Abercrombie sweatshirt with the comfortable sleeves. It's all the same, it's all the same, it's all bombs and drums and tall men taking pictures with pretty girls and forgetting what it is to be in love. So whimper away, because we aren't getting any better.
