New Members Extravaganza??? What is that, exactly?

I'm new, although I've lurked about for awhile. I discovered Pink Floyd at 13; made deals with the gods & got to see them one time. Cried when they opened with "Shine On...".

And now my kids are getting into the Floyd. Weird. And those 2 are (so far) drug free & generally happy. Even during freaking puberty. Not like Mom at all...ha

Just wanted to say hello. I suppose, as a "newbie", I should introduce myself a bit.

I'm in Western Washington State, USA; married (to a Glaswegian) with children; tomboyish sort; love road trips/rocks/books/my dog...oh, and I love my truck; as politically incorrect as that may be. I'm not sure whether Pink Floyd saved me or almost killed me; either way, I have a deep love for them.

Sorry Jodi, as elders, old farts and crusty wrinklies - take your pick - even the thought of cookies and other delicious baked goods results in unwanted waist expansion and must be avoided; as one gets older one's metabolism just flies out the window.
