You're absolutely spot on Strat! Get a picture of both of them together and you'd swear that John F kerry and Fred Gwynne were twins. Now if I could only think who Bush reminds me of...........Lon Chaney in the the Wolfman(1942 i think) perhaps?

But the actor who played Lurch wasn't Gwynne, his name was Ted Cassidy.

Broke my ankle once. The pain I didn't mind. The mindless repetition of the phrase 'hur hur hur... HOPALONG CASSIDY!!!!' day in day torturous out was the worst part.

I just spent the last 2 hours watching Led Zep on DVD with my kid & his buddies. Thinking, wow, I was on LSD last time I did this. AND, the DVD belongs to Ian. HA HA HA
Weird. When did I get here? Momhood...Flashbacks.
And, he wants me to take him to see Styx, Kansas, Peter Frampton & Blue Oyster Cult this summer. I DID promise to take him to his first shows

Many thanx to all those kind souls who took the time to email me and point out what a demented eejit I am! I agree wholeheartedly! I put it down to pre senile dementia. Of course I was only joshing when I said that Fred Gwynne played Lurch. I of course knew all along that Fred Gwynne played Herman Munster, and Ted cassidy played Lurch ( as well as 'Thing') That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!
As for 27 Fish...I knew it was only a matter of time before the sydrome know as 'wet brain', found chiefly amongst those that enjoy the odd libation, finally kicked in.
