Different perspectives...

I write this as i listen to Atom Heart Mother, an album i love. just after i put it on i thought about comments id read of Rog's about how he doesnt particularly like this album (can someome who knows exactly what he said please post it, thanks). and i got wondering, do musicians keep creating, like all other artists, because they think ther previous works were flawed and how low will can this opinion get of something, which to someone who has maybe isnt as creative (such as me) sounds truly brilliant?

edited because i spotted a spelling mistake

I too love the Atom Heart Mother album. violetvision has sparked some curiosity in me. I would also be interested in reading that quote.

I think artists create new albums to cash in on their populairity as quickly as possible before it runs out, at least now adays. Remember alot of those pf albums were experimental, so they arent likely to be loved by all of the members.

No one of the Floyd really love AHM. The point is that they didn't know exactly what they were doing at that time and they needed the help of Ron Geesin to work the whole thing out. I like AHM but frankly I think it's way far from perfection, I can definitely see their point as musicians.
